Michelle Concepción ist eine zeitgenössische Künstlerin, die für ihre abstrakten Gemälde und Zeichnungen bekannt ist, die von Wissenschaft und Entdeckungen sowie von den Parallelen in der Natur und der physischen Welt inspiriert sind. Ihre Arbeiten sind das Ergebnis von Forschung, Erkundung und Experimenten, wobei sie stets die Grenzen der Materialien, mit denen sie arbeitet, auslotet.
Inmitten von Spritzen, Klebeband, Pinzetten und Pipetten verbringt sie zwischen ein paar Monaten und mehreren Jahren, um ein Werk zu vollenden. Es ist eine Entdeckungsreise, bei der sie Farbschichten hinzufügt und wieder abzieht, Muster, Formen und Farben erkundet, die sich ineinander verweben und wieder auflösen.
